๐Overview
Clubfoot, clinically referred to as congenital talipes equinovarus, is a birth defect where a newborn's foot appears rotated at the ankle. This positioning results from structural abnormalities in the bones, tendons, and muscles of the foot and lower leg.
While the condition may affect one or both feet, it is a structural misalignment that occurs during fetal development. The physical rotation is visible immediately upon delivery and typically presents with the foot turned inward and downward.
